rust-e festival 2012

To foster growth in art and culture with emphasis on sustainable technologies, inspiring critical exploration though media and nature. We aim to catalyst a positive relationship, which creates a community of globally responsible individuals. RUST-E aims to facilitate a conversation of technology and sustainability through artistic critical action. We seek to use technology in a positive way, exploring the social responsibilities of urban sustainable evolution. RUST-E creates an open dialog with mother earth, allowing conversation between technology and nature with sustainability as its motive. Soaking in warm geo-thermic waters reminds us of our deep commitment to humans, healthy living and our very fragile natural environment, as we re-articulate our global social awareness.

RUST-E seeks to:

  1. Bring Scientist, Engineers, Artists, Developers, Inventors and Educators together to foster communication regarding sustainable solutions for the future of our planet.
  2. Provide a catalyst for dialog in classrooms and industry by creating responsible action models for individuals, companies, and governments.
  3. Promote understanding of our technological, and ecological worlds through art.

Mt Princeton Hot springs resort

Mt Princeton Hot Springs
Just south of Buena Vista, Colorado, nestled in the Collegiate Peaks at the Base of Mt Antero and Mt Princeton. This Historic Resort offers two Conference rooms, a full restaurant, bar, nice hotel rooms and cabins. Heated entirely by the natural geothermic energy, the resort plans to convert entirely to geothermic energy.

Recent article about Mt. Princeton Geothermal by Ron Sering of The Mountain Mail.

The Mt. Princeton hot spring pools are amazing. They feature one Olympic size pool, and another large warm soaking pool a few feet away. A nice steam room and easily accessible river pools for a more quaint spring experience. Beautiful decks, with outdoor seating, featuring a stone fire place, accent the spring decks. They are also in the process of expanding, with new soaking pools, and another large pool which will be finished later this summer.

st elmo ghost town

Just 11 miles up the road you will find one of the best preserved, ghost towns in the United States. This quaint little town still has a pulse, and the local historical society has recently renovated the school house. We aim to have our Simple Sunday lectures on sustainable living, acoustic carbon neutral performances and trade fair in this quaint little village originating in 1878.
